This race is 200 laps (500 miles) at Daytona International Speedway. This race is the most wanted out of any race in the NASCAR circuit. These are the drivers that I believe might be in victory lane tonight. Dale Earnhardt Jr.:
- Average finish of 16.1 (18.3 at Daytona)
- Won the 2004 Daytona 500
- Got second at the 2001, 2010, 2012, and 2013 Daytona 500
Jimmie Johnson:
- He is just coming off a championship and would love to get a win here
- He won the Sprint Unlimited (at that time the Budweiser Shootout) in 2005
- He won the 2013 Daytona 500
Matt Kenseth:
- He nearly won the championship last year and is ready to win it this year
- He had seven wins last year
- He won the Daytona 500 in 2009, and 2012
Kyle Busch:
- He averages 21.75 at Daytona
- He won the 2014 Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona (NEXTera Energy Resources 250)
- Kyle Busch has gotten 4th at the Daytona 500 before
- It has been 21 years since Joe Gibbs Racing has won the Daytona 500, so Kyle will be pushing very hard today
Denny Hamlin:
- He won the 2006, and 2014 Sprint Unlimited
- He won the 2014 Budweiser Duel #2
