The 2014 Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was a tame race. There were some crashes and pile ups but overall when watching the race, the race seemed tame. That is always a good thing for these drivers, (no injuries) but little passing occurred as a result. A few rookies raced high during the race; such as Chase Elliot and Ty Dillon. Matt Crafton (2013 Camping World Truck Series champion) raced well today and managed to finish in 12th. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was basically in the top 5 the whole race, and well as Brad Keselowski.
