Joey Logano, cheater also?

[all info is subject to change and this investigation is only in the preliminary level] On Saturday night, not only did MWR commit crime against NASCAR but so did Penske Racing.  During the race a transmission was sent (from is believed Roger Penske) to David Gilliland's spotter to let Logano pass, while Newman was leading the race.  Here is the actual transmission that NASCAR is looking intoA voice, believed to be Gilliland crew chief Frank Kerr, asks who the request is coming from. The spotter replies: "We've got the big dog ... all his cronies." This is believed to be a reference to team owner Roger Penske, who often is on the spotter stand.    Kerr responds: "Travis knows what I've been asking for," possibly a reference to Penske Racing competition director Travis Geisler.     [Logano passed Gilliland on a restart and finished 22nd.]  "Good job, good job, man," the spotter says post-race. "Hopefully we'll get something out of that."

{Source: USA Today}    During all of this the General Manager for Brian Vickers (Ty Norris) gave him a command to pit under green with four laps to go.  By doing this Logano was able to gain a position.  But even without Ty Norris cheating, or Front Row Motorsports (David Gilliland's team) bartering Joey Logano still would have made the chase if he got the position that he would have gotten.  He was one point ahead of Gordon, so since he would have gotten less then 22nd Gordon would have made the chase.  Logano was ahead of Truex and Newman in the standings (who at that time were tied for the wild card position) So Logano would have made it into the chase by taking one of the wild card spots, or using his 3 bonus points from winning at Michigan.  So why did he do it?  Did Logano even know about these deals?  Should Logano be to blame, or just Penske, and MWR?  NASCAR has not issued a penalty upon Penske yet, but NASCAR has stated that they are investigating into the Penske situation.  So since Logano's team cheated, shouldn't Gordon take Logano's spot since he would have made the chase if Logano didn't make positions from the incidents.   NASCAR is in a bad spot here.  Baseball has steroids, and NASCAR just has manipulation, and under the table trading.

NASCAR has politics.

I doubt Logano knew about it - they likely didnt want to tell him, one less thing for him to worry about. They wanted Logano just to think about driving his car.

Truex did not know about the plan with MWR.

I dont think Logano will get penalized - he might, but my guess is he would have made the chase regardless... Idk it would be interesting.
