AJ Allmendinger back for 2014?
Can AJ Allmendinger break fro the chase in 2014?
AJ will be driving Bobby Labonte's #47 in 2014 full time. AJ was involved in a drug incident in 2012, but after rehabilitation he has slowly made his way back. He said that he did not intend to take the drug and it seems that NASCAR, Penske, and others believe him. He drove an Indy car this year, and the #47 part-time. Hopefully showing NASCAR that he is ready to be back full-time will pay off. He did well when he was in the #22 and i'm interested in seeing what he can do in the 47. At Atlanta (two weeks ago) he got 14th and at Richmond (one week ago) he got 15th. Can he make the chase? It's very possible but the 47 is a lower quality car (and team) then the 22 with Penske. But he seems to be able to drive that car. | |
